Residents reported substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.

Rescue organizations received over five hundred requests for assistance across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for downed trees and flooding.

During the peak on Sunday, more than twenty-eight thousand electricity consumers in the state were lacking electricity.

Weather Forecast

Damp conditions were expected to linger along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.

The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with continued severe weather risk expected across different parts of both regions.

Public health experts alerted that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
