Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
